Youth/Parents Meeting
Tuesday, October 02, 2007

All youth and their parents are invited to a Youth/Parent's Meeting on Sunday, October 7th from 12:30-2:00 PM. Location to be announced. It will either be in the Youth House or the Picnic Shelter.

As you walk through life, stuff happens

-some stuff you'll have no control over -some stuff you'll bring on yourself by the choices you make, ...either way, God is always there--will always be there--loving you, taking care of you and waiting for you to turn to Him for help.

Please make good use of your Bible. It is an amazing book --a great tool to help you in any situation.

Please make good use of your "Bible Helps." "Bible Helps" is a collection of scripture broken down by difficult situations you may face in life. The scripture that may help you in that situation is listed so that you can easily find it in the Bible in times of need.

Remember that you are a blessing and a gift to the St. Andrew's Youth Group and to the world. Each of you needs to remember this.

God loves you--me too!

Youth Lunch

Every week,on Sunday, the youth have lunch together as part of their time together. There is a sign-up sheet outside Pearl's office if you would like to help by providing lunch for the youth. Please contact Pearl if you have any questions.

Be sure to visit Visionary Parenting. This site invites parents to be intentional in helping their children develop Christian character. The site includes samples of curriculum to equip and support parents in their mission of raising their children. Some items are available to download for free!

Thornwell Home & School for Children

The Thornwell Home & School for Children in Clinton, South Carolina, has been taking care of children and youth in need since its founding on October 1, 1875. With the support of Presbyterian Church (USA) congregations and private donations, the home and school nurtures and educates more than 400 children, many of whom suffer from mild to moderate emotional problems stemming from the death of parent(s); a separation or divorce resulting in a temporary inability to care for a child; a temporary financial and/or physical inability to care for a child; families experiencing types of dependency or abuse; and parent's/guardian's disabling health or advanced age.

One of the most successful schools of its type, the care of Thornwell's residents is based on sound Christian principles and a warm, loving cottage atmosphere staffed by dedicated house parents. Its educational offerings - from the Child Development Center through high school - are outstanding, dedicated to providing the finest in education and Christian development.
